Detailed itinerary :
Day 1: Discovery of the Vaud Riviera, its technical trail, and panorama
We are meeting at Montreux station for the briefing, equipment check, and luggage drop-off. Then we will board a vintage train leading us to our first descent: a narrow, dry, and steep singletrail, then flowy and with jumps. During this first, day we will discover the fun and technical trails of the Riviera, overlooking Lake Geneva. You will be surprised by the terrain’s diversity and this region’s dense green forests. The courses, always in singletrail, are on average 10km of descent each. We end the day feet in the water for a well-deserved aperitif before leaving for our next stop.
Details: verification of equipment followed by more than 30km of singletrails, D+ (climb) approx. 400m / D- (downhill) approx. 4,000m
Day 2: Ride in the Châble valley among alpine trails and marmots
For our second day, we will ride the most beautiful singletrails in the Chablais. During this day we will descend from the peaks through scree and small singletrails, to unearth the spectacular alpine trails of the Val de Bagnes. We will take a break in the Mont Fort hut to recharge our batteries and admire the view of the Valais Alps. A memorable enduro day thanks to endless fast and technical descents. At the end of the afternoon, we will take the train to Crans-Montana where we will stay comfortably to recover from this beautiful day of riding.
Details: more than 30km of singletrails, D+ approx. 500m / D – approx. 4,000m
Day 3: Descent of the Plaine Morte glacier
This day offers breathtaking landscapes. We will ride from the glacier, through alpine landscapes, to the heart of the Rhône Valley. Enduro is not epic without a short hike-a-bike, which will be quickly forgotten in the face of the descent of more than 25km that awaits us. Hairpins, fast sections on rocky and receding terrain, passages in high plateaus, then a playful and fast single leading us to the lake. Following a short break to recharge our batteries and admire the herds, we continue with vertiginous passages on the side of the cliff. A narrow tunnel at the entrance to the gorge leads us to a rapid single track marked with hairpins in the forest. The last part of our journey will be through the vineyards, with a view of the Rhône valley to the plain. Once there, we will take the train to Val d’Anniviers
Details: approx. 30km, D+ approx. 200m / D – approx. 2,400m
Day 4: Discovering the Val d’Anniviers & late afternoon free
After a relaxing night in a magnificent mountain chalet, we will attack with a small warm-up track on a fast and fun single. Then we will go up to the top by chairlift followed by a little pedaling. Arrived at the pass, the valley opens onto a magnificent landscape announcing our descent: 30 km crossing scree, steep and technical steps, singles among coniferous forests, and a nature reserve. We will finish on a rocky, fun, and fast trail, which will allow us to reach the plain. Your wheels will squeal throughout the day, along rock faces and mountain pastures. Finally, we will reach our final destination: Zermatt, where you will take advantage of the late afternoon to relax.
Details: more than 35km of singletrails, D+ approx. 600m / D – approx. 4,000m
Day 5 : Zermatt – riding the Toblerone
Wake up gently in Zermatt with a view of the Matterhorn. We are going to ride this mythical place and the courses of the EWS (Enduro World Series) with passages at more than 3000m. A day punctuated by endless descents, magnificent lakes, flowy single trails along streams, as well as technical and exposed trails. You will be amazed by the beauty of nature and its typical villages that you will discover through these routes, among the best in the world: technical and rolling, with a unique panorama.
Details: approx. 35km of single trails, D+ approx. 300m / D – approx. 4,000m
At the end of the afternoon, we will collect our suitcases/bags to return to reality… all good things come to an end, until the next adventure with Epic Enduro!
